Video Production for marketing. Big money to get quality work done right?

Video production is not the scary, professionals only, business it was even 2-3 years ago. HD video cameras are coming in everybody’s cell phones these days?

Just try to keep the phone still and not backlight your subject too bad and you, ya you! can record near professional quality video! The microphone technology has come along way also.

Stay out of heavy wind, keep light on peoples faces, camera still, and try to frame a nice backdrop. That’s it, come up with ideally 20-45 seconds of at least mildly entertaining and engaging video and post it on your Facebook page and Youtube account.

On Youtube you want to SEO or search engine optimize your videos. Basically just think of what people would type in Youtube or Google to find your company and/or the video in particular.

That’s all you need to do start your journey into video marketing. A cell phone and something to say. You can chat up your company in general or certain innitiatives. Your products, whatever sets you apart from the pack!

Video Marketing and Youtube are, if used correctly, probably the best way to get your marketing messages going viral.

If they are SEO ‘d, or search engine optimized correctly and deliver the right type of content, video marketing is usually the first part of your marketing efforts to go viral and we all know viral marketing is one of the golden keys in the game of social media marketing!

Video is also very helpful in the stickyness of your web properties and can dramatically increase conversion rates on your sales and landing pages.

Does anybody use Twitter anymore? Is it working for marketing campaigns?

Twitter is a Twicky one. Sorry, Twitter really is tricky though. I’ve seen so many people, myself included waste tons of time building large twitter followings that produce very little results compared to the time invested.

Linkedin, the Facebook for business folks. Can it help my business?

Linkedin is the definitely the leader in the world of social media for business. It should probably be part of your marketing strategy.

Depending on what you do or what your business does, Linkedin could easily be the most valuable social media website out there for you. While Facebook and Twitter and typically more important for branding and building communities at the end of the day much more actual business gets done on Linkedin.

They have created a very useful “Answers” system that can be very useful. The groups are typically much more serious and less spammy than Facebook and the fact that you can search almost any companies roledex and connect straight to the person/position that makes sense can be fabulously valuable to your business.
